Making this sign at the Museum of Neon Art was a great opportunity for me to get more hands-on experience with sign fabrication. I started by creating the concept and graphic intent through an in-scale pdf to deliver to vendors. Then I printed a full scale reverse pattern of the sign to collaborate with the neon bender on where the best places to bend and break up the text would be. After a lot of black-out painting, tube mounting, electrical rigging, and coordination with several vendors, the sign was complete.
